What should I pay attention to when swapping microSD cards?

Do not hot-swap microSD cards. Insert/remove only when the device is off. Format the card before use, or the video may not save, and continuous recording may fail.

Does HomeBase Mini work with a 5V/1A power adapter?

No. You must use a 5V/2A power adapter to ensure stable and reliable operation.

Which eufy devices can be connected to HomeBase Mini?

HomeBase Mini supports eufyCam C35, SoloCam, video doorbells (C30/E340/C31), Indoor Cam Dual and Pan/Tilt 4K, Floodlight 3K/2K, and eufy motion/entry sensors. Firmware updates may be required. Model and PN details are listed in the safety document.

How do I set up and add my devices?

Open or update the eufy App. Power on HomeBase Mini with the original adapter and connect the network cable. In the App, scan the code on the device to add it. Charge eufyCam C35, scan its code, and select Connect to HomeBase.

What is the storage capacity and why is HomeBase Mini’s available space below 8 GB?

eufyCam C35 has no built-in storage. Use microSD cards (up to 256 GB) or HomeBase Mini with 8 GB eMMC and support microSD up to 1 TB. Part of the eMMC is used for firmware, so it’s less than 8 GB.

So much better than google cameras!
Easier set up possible, great video and no monthly subscription. Much more cost effective, better quality and better setup than the google cameras I have previously bought at a much less cost…and the google cams SUCKED!

    A real deal!
These cameras are great, especially at this price point. Easy to set up and install. Good image. One of the best deals I’ve run across lately. If all you need is something relatively basic, this is definitely it!

Good cam for the money and no monitoring fee required.
Nice camera with good resolution and easy to install. My only complaints are that there is no way to pause motion monitoring like you can with a Ring camera, also a message keeps popping up saying to format the SD card, but I’ve already done this twice.

    Great quality
Great picture quality! Really good camera for the price. Really easy to setup. The doorbell could be more prominent but it works well.

    The set up is horrible.
I wish I could give this 0 stars. This has been the absolute worst product to set up. I received my product this morning and it still isn’t working. The troubleshooting tips did not work. The product won’t connect to my Bluetooth and the chatting with support at Eufy isn’t working. I plan to call customer service tomorrow and if the issue can’t be resolved, I’m sending this $90 of a mess back!! Something so simple has to be so hard.

    Good for animals
I didn’t realize the Eufy doorbell wouldn’t alert to animals. We have a lot of strays cats around, and I’d like to keep an eye on them, as well as any potential predators that may come around. This is perfect, it detects motion for animals really well, and the video quality is good. Glad I ordered this.

    Nice
Really nice so far- just put them up today, replacing some ring cams. The app is a little different, but i think I will get used to it. My ring cams were older, so these are a nice upgrade. Picture is clear. Night view seems great so far. We’ll see how they old up, the ring cams held up great. Got a spare since I can’t use solar panels and these don’t have removable batteries.

Already a fan of EUFY as I have a set at another property I am renovating so I was excited to try these as it’s an impressive set. It was an instant security upgrade to my condo as almost all of the corners in my unit have metal beams, so the camera is stuck on the wall with no need to drill holes. This Homebase mini is interesting, I love that it can store the remote recordings as well as act as a hub for all the cameras to connect to. As a bonus my existing indoor S350 connected without any issues. You can access all of the recordings and settings via the app which has greatly improved over the years. I recommend adding a high-speed micro SD card rated for surveillance cameras as the onboard 8GB gets used up quickly if you enable high quality recording. I have added 128GB and it’s more than enough for indoor recordings as I only leave the one pointed at my door on 24/7. The other 3 cameras turn on when I am not home. As this mini model is not as powerful as the HB3 it does not support cross camera tracking, which is my favorite feature of the HB3.The C35 cameras themselves are also impressive on their own. You can set them up to connect to the Homebase or if you need to place one out of range, you can configure it to work via Bluetooth to connect directly to your phone. It has a slot for a micro SD card so it can be used independently. The motion detection is excellent (although I have only tried indoors) and it can clearly identify my dog, as well as myself. At my old place my 2C pros would recognize everyone, and once even a handsome squirrel as myself. I would have preferred the screen in mounts, but once you line up the snap in mounts correctly then they hold quite securely.Privacy is important to me so I am happy that it has a black out privacy function. The camera facing my door has full view into my bathroom so I have added a privacy black out square so on the video it’s blocked off. I like that more than the older cameras where you could only specify an area not to trigger but was still on full view in recordings. The IR sensor will still trigger if you are in the privacy zone but you will not appear on film. This is good for my office camera as well where I can place a black out zone over my desk and monitors. For pet tracking I likeOverall I highly recommend this for indoor condo/apt usage as you can just stick them up and take them down if needed, all with no damage to your walls. Anyone at any tech skill level can easily set them up as the app guides you at each step of the way.

Plus, time-lapse condenses long-term events into minutes, facilitating easy observation of transformations. With all this out of the way, these cameras have smaller batteries then other models on the market. So if you need to perch them in hard to reach places. You will have a tuff time when recharging. The unit is simple to take off it’s base yet needs frequent recharging, especially when placed in high traffic areas. Same goes if the signal is weak it will drain the units faster. You can buy separate solar panels that can be attached to them. Yet it will increase the cost of this bundle making it less attractive to potential buyers. With other models on the market offering a full kit including the panels for a bit more dosh. This is something to consider when on the hunt for a good deal. The good:1 High resolution images with good dynamic range2 large field of view that offers a great sense of scale and security3 solar power optional with panels4 adjustable blind spot ( in app )5 No fee local storage ( with included hub )6 camera storage + separate hub storage for simultaneous backup.Issues:1 night vision is good but is best at around the 15to 30 meeter range. Beyond this point faces and other aspects such as cloth and ( accessories )become dim.2 Detection zone failures. Sometimes the camera won’t detect a person or object if it is less then 50% in the frame ( example a head and upper torso ) might not trigger the cams auto detect. This has happened on some occasions when testing. Works 95% of the time3 The resolution isn’t the best at only 1080p compared to others on the market.Final thoughts; 3.8 out of 5With this units cost of entry, it might be a bit expensive for some. Especially since you need to buy extra solar panels if you want higher levels of camera autonomy. You also need to purchase high quality SD cards and a card reader. You can boost the hubs internal storage to 1TB + each camera can accept their own 256GB storage card. So that is even more money you will need to shell out. For the system to be fully operational. With that being said it is better to have video surveillance. These days since so many things are happening. From car theft to break and enters. With this setup you can have great coverage with 4x cameras + no monthly fees thanks to it’s bay station.

I’m really impressed with this Eufy camera kit. Getting everything set up was no trouble at all. I had the homebase and all four cameras connected and running way faster than I expected. The best part is how easy they are to put up. You can literally just stick them onto anything steel with the magnet, which is super convenient, or you can use the screws they come with for a more permanent spot. I’ve got a couple outside and a couple inside, and they work great either way.The colour night vision is actually amazing. I wasn’t expecting it to be so clear, but you can really see what’s going on, even when it’s dark, and without having to use the light for the colour night sight. Another huge plus for me is that you don’t need to sign up for a cloud service to get them to work. You do have to buy your own microSD card to stick in the homebase if you want to save the videos, but that’s a one-time cost, which I prefer over a monthly fee. You can still get a cloud subscription if you want, but it’s nice not being forced into it.I’m giving it five stars, but there are a couple of things you should know. The 1080p video quality is fine, but it’s not as super sharp as my other 4K cameras that plug into the wall. That makes sense, though, since a higher resolution would probably kill the battery in no time. Speaking of which, the battery life is pretty standard for a wireless camera. It also doesn’t record 24/7; it just records short clips when it detects motion. I do wish there was an option to record all the time if you have it plugged in, which is possible, but it’s not a deal-breaker.Overall, I’m really happy with this find. For the price, the ease of use, and especially that colour night vision, they’re a great choice if you’re looking for a wire-free security setup.

I have owned a singular EUFY security camera in the past that was LTE-based, along with a doorbell camera as well. I recently started showing off a new property with WIFI enabled that I wanted to keep tabs on with my mobile while I was busy in other rooms, so I decided to order this 4-cam kit of EUFY C35 cams which are all wireless, designed for outdoor or indoor, and even have a solid hub included. It seemed like the most value, and an ideal solution for ensuring all was well when I was busy elsewhere. The set features all the quality standards like full IP67 weatherproofing for both outdoor if you choose, or indoor ideally, as well as standard WiFi and two-way audio-talking via direct camera to phone connection, for each of the camera locations I have attached these, for when I can’t answer in-person.Having 4 cameras provides a lot of convenient coverage as well, and generally increases my field of vision overall for different site locations. The set is also entirely wire non-dependent, and supports solar panels if you wanted to add them, which would provide a significant autonomous boost in the future. The rechargeable lithium batteries in each camera have notifications built in that will let you know on your mobile app when they need a recharge, and charging appears to be fairly fast. Each of the small cameras are equipped with magnets, so they can be attached to pretty much any metal surface you can find, which is super useful, and you can really get creative with them. Additionally, this kit includes a hub, with which you can record up to a terabyte of footage if you install the appropriate memory SD card, but comes with 8GB already built-in, allowing you to remain independent of any monthly service plans that would cost you extra, which is such a nice gesture. On top of all that, there is excellent colour night-vision, light and sound alarms, and a variety of customization features for when you want certain movements or features to be activated throughout the day or night, which gives me a lot of flexibility and confidence that my space will be subject to very competent surveillance no matter the weather, activity, or any other conditions or situations.Overall the peace of mind that I get from this set of four little cameras, hub and no monthly service plan, is truly understated, and I will continue to order from EUFY for all my security needs in the future. 5 stars.

I own several Eufy products and was eager to test this kit! What I’ve found is that it makes for a great little system that is quick and easy to deploy, and requires a minimum of effort for setup, at least for the most part. Read on for more details. The photos I’ve attached show standard camera performance for outdoor capture in day and night scenarios to show daytime and low-light performance, as well as field of view. The garage shots are taken during the daytime with standard (no light), spotlight, and IR (black and white) modes with light coming in the window on a heavily clouded day.Likes:- Easy to pair cameras and hub to the Eufy Security app.- Easy to link cameras to the hub, once you know how. Read dislikes for how this could be better.- Compact form factor for both cameras and hub with excellent battery life. Battery levels remain at between 95 – 100% after several days of use. The lowest one is the furthest from the WiFi router.- Easy, no-hole mounting options if you have a magnetic surface like a steel door, which is GREAT if you’re in a rental situation! Note: Aluminum materials are NOT magnetic so soffits, eaves, downspouts, etc. are not usable without drilling.- Great image quality for a 1080p camera! Light sensitivity, colour reproduction, and sharpness are all fantastic! It also has a 103.7 degree field of view so it can capture a good, wide area without a fish-eye lens appearance.- Tons of features! Colour night vision, spotlight, IR night vision, Two-way talk, AI detection, and more!- Excellent build quality with IP67 water resistance. This should stand up to any natural elements without any issues.- Quick camera loading with a minimum of delay. For a battery operated camera, these load very quickly!- No fees to access or record your footage!- Thumbnail images included with notifications so you can easily identify a situation.- Comes in a compact box with minimal use of plastics. Most of the packaging is environmentally sustainable cardboard.Improvements that could be made:- The initial setup process didn’t allow me to directly connect the cameras to the hub. I had to connect them to the WiFi first, and then figure out how to link them to the hub. Once I realized how these steps worked, it was quick and easy to finalize setup.- Viewing cameras is quick and easy. Unfortunately, you can’t scroll from one camera to the next in the app. You have to hit the back arrow, which takes you to all the cameras, and then choose the next camera you want to view. In a Reolink or Tapo camera system, they allow you to scroll from one camera to the next with a quick swipe. I find this more intuitive than the Eufy way of doing things.Overall, this is a great little package that allows you to quickly add security cameras to your property. The performance is excellent, and on par with other Eufy products that I’ve tried. I can’t recommend this kit enough for someone who wants quick and easy setup with a maximum level of quality, features and performance!Highly recommended!
