Good entry point
This product makes a good “first security camera”. It is fairly simple to set up, it works “standalone” and out of the box (after you charge its built-in battery), and Amazon gave me a good price.In its most basic configuration, it uses local-only storage. It connects to your wi-fi router, only so that you can use a phone or computer app to control it and to review what video it generates.Local-only storage is good for data privacy. But it also means that a thief could simply un-screw the camera and walk off with it. Once he moves the camera outside of your wi-fi range, you can no longer see the videos of him, that it got.This product is good for monitoring the behavior of animals, kids & delivery people, as you start to understand security systems and think about what you really want.

Great security camera that is continuously solar charged and high resolution!
I’ve owned a 4 camera Eufy security system for about 3 years. I purchased 2 of the S220s to replace my “front of house” older security cams. The solar charging works perfectly and the 2k image capability is great. The only thing missing is they do not have a security light that activates when the camera is triggered. You can get that feature on the next higher priced Eufy s230 cameras but it costs more. I love the Eufy system and these little camera gems are a cost-effective way to add higher resolution and solar charging to an older setup. Very happy with both cost and cpability!

Easy setup with excellent video clarity. I have several ring cameras & this one is way better. Alerts you when people are approaching your property. Quality seems to be good as well. Great security camera for reasonable price.

Good camera, but solar is an issue if you live in the north
Easy to set up and link to an existing homebase system. Video quality is good. Only gripe is the solar charging. If you live in a northern area, the solar panels are not advanced enough to adequately recharge the battery in winter.

Eufy’s “Security” System Is a Dangerous Joke. Weak Alarm, Misleading Info, and Useless Support
I spent over $400 on what I thought was a full Eufy home security setup. I bought the HomeBase 2, the 5-piece sensor kit, smart lock, doorbell camera, outdoor camera, chime, and more. I expected to feel safe in my home. Instead, I got a system that can barely be heard and a support team that doesn’t even understand how their own products work.Only the HomeBase 2 makes a sound when the alarm is triggered. None of the sensors, cameras, or other components ring. Just one small box with a 100 dB siren sitting upstairs next to my router. I live in a two-story home. One day the alarm rang for hours and I didn’t even notice. Neither did my neighbors. What kind of security system is that?When I contacted customer service, I explained everything clearly. I gave them the facts, the issue, and the exact solution. Their replies were insulting. They asked me if I had tried turning up the volume. I had. They told me to try different alarm tones. I had. They told me to move the HomeBase, even though I clearly said it had to stay next to the router. Then they told me to use my doorbell camera as a siren, which is connected to a chime and would go off with every passerby. It’s not even linked to the HomeBase alarms. That suggestion made no sense at all.Then came the most ridiculous part. They actually asked me if my house had walls. Yes, my house has walls. That’s how houses work. If your product can’t be heard through a wall, it’s not fit to be called a security system.It got worse. They asked if my motion sensors and entry sensors made noise. These devices do not emit sound. They never have. It’s shocking that their own support team doesn’t even know how their products function. That’s basic information and they clearly didn’t have it.They also told me Eufy doesn’t make a separate siren. I had to send them a link to their own siren listed on Amazon before they even acknowledged it existed. I asked for two of them to be sent to me as a fair resolution. After dodging the request with emotional reassurances and irrelevant replies, they just stopped responding.To make things even more frustrating, one of the cameras I bought wasn’t compatible with the system. I only found this out through trial and error, because the product description doesn’t mention it. Nowhere does it say it won’t work. That’s on them.There’s no actual customer service number. You’re left emailing support reps who don’t read your messages, don’t know the products, and give you useless copy-paste responses while stalling you into silence.I handed them the solution. I explained the problem from day one. I did all the work for them. The moment I had an airtight case and knocked down every excuse they had, they disappeared.If you want a system that’s reliable, loud, and backed by people who care about your safety, this isn’t it. The design is flawed, the listings are misleading, and the customer service will waste your time until you give up. I regret buying this. You will too.Update: After weeks of trying to work with Eufy support, I was offered a refund that doesn’t even cover the cost of fixing the problem. I asked for two sirens so the system could function properly, or a refund to cover the actual price. They refused both and closed the case. Since I pointed out the siren was on Amazon, it was suddenly removed and now only shows up on their website. I gave them every chance to resolve this and they chose not to. Think twice before trusting this system to protect your home.

Best Solar Camera with no subscription required
I love this camera. It was super easy to install. I cannot believe it’s solar powered. If you buy a micro-SD card you don’t need to get a subscription to record (which is basically underheard of these days, cue the ring products). I also think their app is better than ring. Very easy to navigate. We also bought a separate lock/camera for a different area of our house, it works seamlessly. We did have one minor issue with ours, I contacted customer service, and they immediately addressed my issue. I was absolutely blown away by the service. These are the only cameras and locks I will ever buy from here on out.5 stars for the product. 5 stars for the app and not needing a subscription. 10 stars for the customer service.

Good while it lasted
Like eufy products & this camera was good till the internal battery didn’t want to charge anymore. Lasted a bit over a year. Now I will have to buy another or switch systems. I have the doorbell as well which currently works. Setup took some time as it refused to connect. Once running it was peace of mind until after a year the battery drained into the red even though in full sun. Now it will not charge so it’s dead. It has been in the same position since setup so it’s an internal weakness. Camera quality is good it’s a shame the battery is not built to outlast the camera.

Fácil de instalar, buena calidad de video y sonido. Solo se requiere una conexión Wifi cercana y configurar el dispositivo por medio de la APP, se carga por medio del panel solar que trae. Tardo un poco en llegar, pero todo muy bien una vez que lo recibí.
