Nice project for a seven year old.
Nice project for a seven year old. Reasonable sound quality. Assembly time about 30 minutes.Only too required is a small Phillip head screwdriver.Four AA batteries also required.Bluetooth auto-reconnect works well.

Fun little project.
My 4th grader was able to build this kit with minimal help. It powers up, connects, and plays with no issues. These little speakers sound better than one might expect for the price point.Recommend having a piece of sand paper (not included) to help with fitting the body panel tabs. We only had to remove a small amount of material, but this extra step was needed.

A fun little kit that works well and can be built by anyone
To say that this is an elementary kit is over stating. It is more like lego with a wood cut box that press fits like any of my WoodGears projects. I think my cat could have assembled it if I would hand her the little screwdrivers. On the fun side the construction is straight forward and everything fits together like it should. The various components plug together, no soldering required, it has synthetic, metallic, speakers and is very solid when you finish.When I tested it on my media player the Bluetooth synced almost immediately and I was quite impressed by the sound quality and volume from this little box. The 4 AA batteries on the back are a bit awkward but you can’t really see them, For the price it is a great little Bluetooth speaker that can be built by just about anyone.

Wow! What an exciting STEM kit to build! And when they are done it’s actually something they can use a lot! The instructions are pretty straight forward so kids can understand it. The frame is made of wood that is already doe cut so you just push the parts away from the sheet. You can paint or stain the wood to make it your own. It’s great fun to actually put the components of a speaker set together and kids will learn from it too! Really great value in this kit.
