A Fantastic Investment for Work and a Joy for Life!
After researching different paper tablet brands, I finally decided to give Penstar a try. I was hesitant initially, could I really justify the price for something so specialized? However, my primary goal was organizing all my work-related documents and note-taking, and Penstar seemed tailor-made for that at an affordable price. After several weeks of use, this device not only met my expectations but exceeded them in several ways. The value is outstanding, and it has quickly become a staple in my daily workflow! What Stands Out- Writing ExperienceThe writing experience is phenomenal, way better than writing on my iPad. The screen’s paper-like texture and responsiveness make it feel natural, with virtually no latency!- Reading ExperienceThe large screen has completely transformed my reading habits. Compared to my old Kindle Paperwhite, this device is a joy to read on, and I can’t imagine going back, sorry my kindle.- IntegrationsAs an Android-based device, Penstar allows app downloads, adding versatility far beyond a typical note-taking tablet. The device syncs flawlessly with cloud platforms, which is really helpful for my work.- Note OrganizationAs someone who used to rely on multiple physical notebooks, I now manage all my notes effortlessly in one place. The ability to categorize and organize notes is a huge timesaver, allowing me to build a “second brain” with ease!- Customizable Physical ButtonsThe physical buttons are a standout feature. I was criticizing it’s not touch screen, then after my research, those are like customized action buttons! I’ve customized them for quick navigation for my notes. Since the device isn’t touch screen, it avoids accidental touches as well.- Solid Hardware and PortabilityThe device is ultra-thin and portable, with a USB-C charging port, and I’m surprised about the long-lasting battery, I have’t charged for two weeks, and it still showing 43%. The included case and stylus are well-designed, making it a complete and ready-to-go package.Things to Improve1. No BacklightWhile this may be a downside for some, I appreciate the reduced glass layer, which improves the writing feel, but having the adjustable light will be a plus.2. No Touch ScreenAgain, not a dealbreaker for me since I’m relying on the stylus and the buttons for navigation, but it might effect some people’s decision.3. Lightweight StylusThe stylus comes in the kit, but it feels lighter than expected; a heavier option would improve the writing experience, and the magnet-touching function will improve the experience as well.4. Fingerprint AccessI turn on and off the screen really often, it will be huge improve if it supports fingerprint access.Final ThoughtsThe Penstar eNote has been an excellent investment for me. While I primarily use it for work, I can see it evolving into a tool for countless other applications as updates roll out. For anyone in need of a reliable, distraction-free digital note-taking and reading solution, this device offers great value and usability. Highly recommended!

Great for a beginner
This is my first e notebook. For the most part it’s really easy to use. I’m currently struggling with how to install third-party apps but they’re not necessary for me to use this product. Mostly I want to install Kindle. Great for work and I love the categories for notes. It’s really helping me organize and I not go through 80 million paper notebooks! Great value.

Excellent B&W ink tablet for the
Excellent device, though I wish I had waited another month as they brought out a “Pro” version with touch input. This device has an excellent screen, very solid and mature software with great functionality. Once you get used to the stylus-only input for most functions, it becomes quite useful. For the money, I consider it one of thebest e-ink tablets on the market.Avoid the color screen unit. It uses the Kelido-3 color screen, which is a major downgrade from the B&W screen this device has. It is one of, if not the whitest and brightest e-ink screens on the market currently.

Bit of a learning curve to get the most from it but
Got this about a month ago and have used it a bit since.Good* OCR is pretty decent even with what I consider bad handwriting* Can connect to OneDrive which has Microsoft Word as long as you do not delete M365 Copilot)* Holds a charge for a long time* Only picks up stylus so do not have to worry about resting your hand messing things up* Ooooo, it has a good feel like writing on a stack of paper* Easily portable/light weightBad* Learning curve to figure out how to use effectively* Interface a bit clunky* Cannot save text conversion of notes directly* Note text conversion cannot distinguish if next line is just continuation that ran out of space or new line* Limited app selection and unintuitive app store* Specialized pen that if lost, your tablet becomes a lovely paperweight* Not able to customize home screen* If using the handwriting keyboard, it does not do well with recognizing spacesIt gets the job done but the interface is definitely not intuitive (said as a person who usually picks up on tech quickly). Plan to read the manual if you want to get the most out of it (as I read the manual and learn of hidden features), I am starting to like it even more). I am not a fan that you cannot directly save the text conversion of your notes as a PDF. You have to convert your notes to text, then share it by email, then create the PDF on your other device. Their app store equivalent is also not intuitive. For example, if you search Microsoft to download OneDrive, it will find nothing but if you click the Office tab (once you notice it after an hour trying to download it using the browser – hint it will not let you), there it is. There is a bit of a lag but nothing too outrageous. All that said, I have enjoyed using it for notes for work meetings and it definitely beats having to lug around big notebooks or having to go through things manually if you are trying to find a specific topic. I also think the OCR is pretty decent. The attached does not fully showcase how bad my handwriting is but the text conversion is usually correct with minimal fixes. Also love the option to add the templates in the Notes app so you can have the lined paper guidelines. Also, as someone who is particular about the feel of writing utensils/surfaces, this has a good writing feel. Does not have that slippy feeling that takes you out of handwriting on normal tablets but is not scratchy. The screen also looks like a sheet of paper which is gives the distinction this device is for this task, not for playing.I do not really use it as an eReader so I cannot speak to those functionalities.I have not used a Kindle Scribe or ReMarkable but for the difference in price point, I am very happy with this.

O produto chegou bem e rápido.O único problema que o menu está em chinês ou Japonês, não sei a diferença. Tem umas coisas em inglês, não domino. Ainda não consegui usar.

I have had this for 2 weeks and it has more than lived up to my expectations so far. Highly recommend that you read the manual before using. Set up was easy following the steps in the manual. I like that there is no touch screen functions on it. It is easy to load documents using Google drive or OneDrive. Email function is nice as well. The note function is what I was primarily after and it is excellent. It is very close to a paper like feel and the writing to text feature works well. The recording function works very well to. I have not used the voice to text feature yet. It comes with 7 hours worth of that after that you have to purchase more time. There is no colour but I am fine with that. Anyone looking for a paper like electronic note taking function I would highly recommend the eNote 2. The price point is good when compared to other enote devices on the market.

This is a great note taking tablet, very much what I was looking for after doing a ton of research. The WIFI transfer works really well, the customer support when you have questions, are very helpful! The one thing you should note is that you will most likely not be able to connect your email and non of the email providers that I use trust the chinese server that everything is routed through, so there is no way to connect my emails, which is a serious bummer. Hopefully with some updates and maybe having more server secutiry inplace will allow me to connect in future. But all in all great piece of tech, writes great, light weight and all round a berautiful piece of hardware. looking forward to the software updates that they will hopefully roll out.
