Good Value RGB + White Lamp
This RGP + White LED lamp is a great addition to one of my office’s windowless rooms.The good experience starts with the packaging, which is very well presented. While OUTON isn’t a household name, you wouldn’t feel bad gifting this lamp to someone based on presentation. The contents were well packaged and easy to assemble. You can adjust the height of the lamp by using or not using all 3 of the 1 foot poles. Total assembly time took about 5 minutes–make sure to only thread one pole at a time to make your life easier.The lamp shade on my model is plastic. It looks fine, but the optional glass would look nicer. The heavy base and fully assembled lamp pole is sturdy without any noticeable wobble.The lamp is really is bright–1500 lumens is equivalent to 2 normal 65w bulbs or LED equivalents. Almost everything is customizable including colors and brightness via the remote or the touch-sensitive controls on the lamp post. It’s a little painful to cycle through all the different color options with the remote; however, if you want complete control you can download and install the phone app. Note that the lamp does have a physical control for just “white” light (4 different colors of white). So it’s not like some RGB lights where it’s difficult to get a “normal” white. Super easy with this lamp.It was easy to install the iPhone app, and it was also quite easy to pair to my phone with the included instructions. However, while the lamp is 5-stars, the app is 3-stars at best. The primary advantage of the app over the physical controls is that it’s easier to select the exact color that you want. To me the biggest deficiency of the app is that you can’t program a specific on/off time like “6pm to 9pm everyday.” Also, this is just a bluetooth lamp, so you cannot control it via your smarthome with Alexa, Google, or Homekit.**Pros**1. Groovy Colors, But Needs a Sturdier Base
The OUTON LED Floor Lamp with Remote & APP Control is a fantastic way to add vibrant, customizable light to any room. I’m giving it 4 stars because the lighting effects are truly brilliant, but the stability is definitely a consideration depending on your floor type.The best part of this lamp is the light itself. The colors are brilliant, and the customization options through the remote and app are excellent. It gives my living room a really groovy vibe and completely changes the mood of the space—it’s super fun for entertaining or just relaxing. The 1500LM ultra-bright setting is also great when I need strong, functional light.However, the base is where this product loses a star. The light seems to want to topple over way too easily, especially on thicker shag carpet. It just doesn’t feel grounded enough. If you plan to place it on a solid surface like wood or linoleum, it should do fine and feel more stable. For those of us with deep carpets, be prepared to place it carefully in a corner or against a wall.Overall, it’s a great purchase for the ambiance and smart features, but I wish the base had more weight for better stability.

A really good lamp, its great for mood lighting and i’ve set it up in my living room to give it some ambiance.What I like about the lamp is that it has a really small footprint so will fit just about anywhere you have a square foots worth of space (about the size of the base) Setting the lamp to white and using the highest brightness setting it gives good coverage and fills a room just nicely, the alternative colour settings can be adjusted easily to your preferences as below.Setting it up for the first time was a little fiddly, as you have to thread the power cable through a series of tubes that you have to screw together to construct the lamp, but I used some tweezers to pull it through and eventually got it set up just fine.It has a sleek design with an unusual but not unnatractive touch screen with brightness and mode selector options (Strobing, fader, colour selection etc.). a remote control that takes two AAA batteries (not included) also comes with the lamp and has all the same features the controls on the lamp has as well as a timer and night light switch so that you can control the lamp from across the room.If you don’t want to use the remote, you can set up an app on your phone that connects to the lamp, I haven’t yet done this but there are full instructions in the manual that comes with the lamp, it looks really comprehensive so I don’t doubt that it is rather easy to activate. The manual demonstrates that it has all the functionality of the remote and control on the lamp itself, so yet another way to interact with it – this is probably a good one to use should you be hosting a party as you’ll be in full control and can access the sound sensitive option for the lamp to react to music with this functionality.I really like this lamp, it has more features than I will realistically make use of but i know that those options are there for other people who would find them useful and options are always good.

This OUTON LED Floor Lamp is fantastic! The 1500LM brightness is genuinely ultra-bright, easily lighting up my entire living room, but the dimming feature is perfect for cozy movie nights. The app control is intuitive, and having 16 million colors and 32 scene modes means I can set the perfect mood for anything—from gaming to relaxing. The Music Sync feature is a fun bonus. Highly recommended for a modern, versatile lighting solution!

Almost like a modern-day equivalent of the “lava lamp”, this provides very pretty lighting effects with a huge number of effects and variations, while the steady white light (with pure, cool or warm white options) on brightest setting is easily enough to illuminate a large corner.In terms of build quality, all the parts are strong and well finished and the design includes a slide control on the stem of the lamp, which is very easy to operate.We found parts of this a little fiddly to put together, but got there in the end.  The base is heavy enough to keep the lamp securely upright, and has a groove for the wire, so the base isn’t resting on it. This arrangement would be improved by the addition of something to hold the wire in place, but that’s easily fixed with a little piece of tape.If it’s mood lighting you’re after, this is a fun option that looks like one of those multi-fruit striped lollies, and takes up very little floor space. The box is attractive and this might make a good gift for a child or teen’s room.We haven’t tried it with the app, but the sound synchronisation feature works without it, and is sensitive enough to respond to pretty much any sound – even the nextdoor neighbours arguing, which we found amusing. As a straight lamp, I think there are better options around this price point (£39.99), so whether this is right for you will depend on how much you’d enjoy all the colour options and sound synchronisation, which are pretty impressive.
