Firstly, I’m not a musician or a DJ. If at all, I’m just a casual user that listen to music at home, and for the most part, a gamer during my leisure time. So by no means I’m a professional nor have I had any musical training. So what I’m writing is truely my personal opinion.I have Bose quietcomfort wireless headphones as my current device, so basically in term of price differences, it’s no comparison. What I can compare is the comfort, the sound and music quality between the two. Yes I know one is $40 vs $269 (on sale price) product…. In term of music and sound quality, the Bose really enhance the music experience and basically listening your music or playing YouTube music video with them would not be the same. For the A71D, if I have to describe my experience, it basically focus and fine tuning your listening experience directly onto the music video itself. The sound quality is very good for it’s price range. I was able to catch sound lyrics and some music notes otherwise wouldn’t have noticed using regular tv or desktop speaker. The sound quality was surprisingly crisp and well defined. Experience would be like poping your tv speakers directly onto your ears with better or louder bass and treble… No nosie cancelling but the headsets are snug fitted on my ears (I have pretty big ears and a round head.. I guess pretty big for an Asian male) so it actually blocks outside noise quite well. Overall pretty good for music experience.In term of gaming experience, I used this for my PS4 pro and connect it onto my PS4 controller. Again very good experience with them. Fine tuned my gaming very well. Sound and base pops out quite beautifully. The only thing that I would say where I felt was a bit of a led down is the headset felt a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps I have not break them in yet but it felt quite hot wearing them at first. And also due to my bigger than average ears the ear muffs on the headsets felt too tight on me. Eventually I don’t feel too big once I’m gaming but I can foresee myself to have ear fatigue after gaming for hours to come. If I have to say my bose is definitely more comfortable in that sense. Maybe if I wear them a bit more they would loosen up a bit and I believe they would.Overall, for the price I think they are quite decent chose for gaming and even leisure YouTube watching or listening to music video. If you are on a budget or like me would like to have a beater and don’t want to wear out your expensive headphones for random stuffs then this is definitely a good choice. For the price, this should be a very good option. But if you want to get the one and only headphone and expect it to last a very long time, then I would suggest going for a better set. These sets are excellent for what it is worth, but if you can afford $300 then go for something more.

You will be very happy with it and they will deliver above average results IMO in this price range. But do manage expectations insofar that do not expect otherworldly audio quality from these cans. These are bass heavy and the biggest drawback is the clarity. But again, come on, these are $40.When reading the in depth review and comparison below, please keep in mind the PRICE difference. The A71D retails for $40, which is insanely cheap and you are getting good audio quality for the price. For example, just the earpads from the HD700 is the price of the A71D. The vocals are more muted / muddy sounding, lacking clarity. The bass is obviously over tuned. The entire track lack clarity (the major point) and sound muddy again throughout the entire track. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, the sound produced by the Sennheiser make you feel like real objects are dropping right next to you. The A71D does not achieve this. You can tell the direction of where enemies are coming from. The A71D does a WONDERFUL job with game music and FX. But the bass, even with the bass knob on the amp turned to minimum, is very over powering. For example, if you're playing DPS and you're shooting a gun, each bullet comes with a bass sound effect that is out of proportionally strong. The mids sound a bit synthetic but it's not too bad.For whatever reason, the A71D does an AMAZING job with the lobby music in Overwatch. But in game it has less clarity.You will not have problems wearing these in a GM comp lobby.OverallThe A71D is first and foremost, a bass heavy headphone. If you were to compare it with a Beats headphone product, I would choose the A71D because it is simply much more comfortable (I had two versions of the Beats Studio but am unsure where it is). It delivers outstanding value for money and would be a great option for those who are on the go and need a good pair of headphones to enjoy music with.
