Tremendous Value
Within minutes of unboxing. I had this little cute projector up and running. Connected to my network and playing Youtube. Never even touched the manual. It is really just that easy to use. I have the larger DESS projector so I am familiar with the brand. This one is no different in quality. Auto keystone is a great feature. Also the focus dial is easy to adjust. The image is crystal clear. I was able to read text with no distortion. It did come with a 45 watt power brick. But as advertised it works brilliantly off of a power bank. I was drawing about 22 watts while watching a Youtube video. Sadly it does lack an HDMI connection. Not really an issue unless you want to be lugging a large DVD/Blueray player with you. I would arguably say this is one of the best projectors for the price. The internal 8gb of storage is adequate for most movies. Additionally the USB A connection allows for a phone or thumb drive to provide addition movies, tv shows or music.The only negative is there are no controls on the projector itself. Which means the remote has to go with it. DESS really needs to make an app that will allow a phone to function as a remote.

Wish it worked
So Netflix won’t sign in. Gives an error. YouTube won’t even play either. Phone connects but then it stops. Sound quality is okay quiet. I tried on wifi and off wifi. Still issues. The picture quality is good. Nice light for projector. It auto adjusts size based on where you tilt projector. Has settings as well to help. Couldn’t connect to Google kept giving error as well. I have it connected to 5g and 2.4. even phone. Still nothing makes it work. Not sure what issue is but it’s upsetting. Cause the picture quality is amazing. With light on or off. Can watch YouTube sponsored video. So say video is playing in thumbnail if will play for a bit. Then give error. Tried outside, living room and bedroom. Quality is good. Does have features to add more apps. Easy to set everything up. Not worth it.

It’s ok if you know what to expect
I have mixed feelings about this little gadget. At this price point, you should expect an almost disposable product. Use it for a few months casually and then expect there to be issues. This thing is the price of an extra large pizza delivered.Here’s the good stuff:It’s small and light. Toss it in a bag and take it with you. It’s easy to use. You won’t have a problem seting it up. The picture quality is decent, I’d say even good for the price of the projector. It has some apps already installed such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, and YouTube.The bad:It’s light. It’s so light that you’re going to need to hold down the bracket with something as it slides around a lot. The focus wheel on the front is also extremely loose—just breathing on it can throw the image out of focus, which can get frustrating. This might just be the one I received. The built-in speaker isn’t impressive; the sound quality is roughly equivalent to that of a cheaper phone. Another drawback is that it won’t stream directly and wirelessly from a phone. Attempting to do so will give your a nice color montage mess (see video) There is an app that supposedly supports wireless casting, but results can be inconsistent.This isn’t going to replace any TV or higher cost projector or streaming device in your home. As cheap as it is, you should know that already. The best use case for this is for younger children to have setup in their room to stream the occasional movie or better yet to toss in a bag and take with you on a trip. Great diversion for those younger kids in the hotel room. If it gets lost or broken, no biggie at this price point. Treat this as a disposable short term “toy” and you’ll be happy with it. If you want an inexpensive actual higher quality projector, look elsewhere.
