Metal is metal….🤘🏼
I really love this new version of the HidrateSpark water bottle! The build quality is much higher than previous models, so it makes up for the hesitancy of having to carry around a metal bottle now because of its weight. It really has been worth it for durability and looks. My only complaint is the sensor doesn’t always synchronize with my mobile device properly, and I can’t figure out how to trigger it to connect, so I’ve had to reset it twice since I got it, but once I reset it, it tends to work for quite a while after. The water stays cold or hot in the bottle for hours and hours after you put it in. It is rather expensive, but again, if you struggle with drinking water like I do and you want to keep track of how much you’re drinking so you can challenge yourself to do better, this is a great product for that. The addition of sounds and new light patterns has been really helpful to build habits, and it’s always a conversation starter when I’m using my water bottle, lol.

Not great at all!
Hunk of garbage. Good concept, water bottle is decent quality, app doesn’t work. Constant recalibration, resets and would write consumption to apple health but not to its own app, therefore never logging progress. Therefore there is no value in the product.

Love it
My teenager uses this at school to help him remember to drink water. I also think he likes it cause he probably has the coolest water bottle in class. 🙂

Water bottle
It’s awesome and I love the reminder tone but it’s too sensitive that you can’t really use it in the car as it detects movement.. so it might record more than you thought you had for the day. Still awesome though.

Great way to track your intake
I’ve bought 3 of these now – 2 for me and one for my wife. They’re fantastic. If I don’t drink enough I get cramps and feel like crap because I sweat a lot and live in a rain forest. I originally got the 20oz because the 32oz doesn’t fit in cup holders, but I ended up keeping a bigger jug of water with me so I could refill the spark when it got empty. So I got the 32. It’s great. I drop my stuff a lot so the LED ring has a crack in it. Still works fine. I did manage to snap the support ring from the bottom of my 20oz after about 2 years so the puck won’t go in it anymore, but again. I’m rough on stuff. Also, I only charge it like once every 2-3 weeks or so. It’s not a lot. In 2 years I’ve had some very minor connectivity issues maybe twice and had to re-pair the bottle, but that was it. And like I said, I think it was twice. My wife has never had to re-pair hers as far as I know, so maybe it’s because I drop things 🤷♂️

Old Pro Version was Much Better
Oh, Hidrate Spark, what did you do? The new Pro 2 line is a huge step backward from the older Pro bottles. The lid is defective. Pushing the button doesn’t open it — I have to awkwardly hold the bottle in one hand while also pressing the button with my thumb, and muscle the lid open with my other hand. If my hands are full, I skip water even if thirsty. The bottle didn’t want to connect to my app. Super buggy, but I eventually got it manually added to my phone. App no longer acknowledges bottle color, which seems silly, but is an issue if you have 2 or more bottles. I inadvertently ordered a straw lid, and the white chug lids are on indefinite back order status on the company’s website. The bottle isn’t consistently reminding me or flashing to confirm sips. It incorrectly changes blow colors.I have my bottle to be silent after 10 pm, but I travelled from CA to NY for a week and the bottle didn’t recognize the local time zone from my phone, so the bottle was beeping and flashing until 1 am. I finally just let the battery die on the trip.I’d skip this version. Hopefully they’ll release an improved version.

Works Great, But…
I loved this bottle but needed to return it. It’s just too big! It’s too big to fit in any vehicle cup holder, and too large to really carry around. If you aren’t in need to carry it much, it’s great. It was accurate and I learned quickly how to use it because there is some nuance to using it. Otherwise, it was a great purchase. I bit pricey, but if you want to track your water, this is the way to go. The app is ok for the free part, but it’s $15 a year, which makes it a little more than a dollar a month and not a subscription. It lets you add a lo0t of other liquids to track. All in all, a great bottle and if size isn’t your worry, then you have found a great companion.

Waste of money
I really wanted to love this bottle, especially after the ridiculous price I paid, but so far there’s nothing “smart” about this “smart” water bottle. I connected it to phone as instructed. Calibrated. Start drinking from it thinking it’s auto-tracking as it should. Then I go on the app. Nothing’s been tracked. It tells me I need to recalibrate. I recalibrate. An hour later the same thing. I don’t know how many times I had to recalibrate. I even disconnected and reconnected the bottle multiple times. Nope. Useless. I still have a “recalibrate” message on the app as we speak. Not tracking anything and half the time it won’t even find the bottle. Will likely throw it away. What a waste of time and money.

Amazon Customer –
I’ve been using the Hidrate Spark Pro 2 after owning the first version (which I used for over a year), and it’s a big step forward. The original already helped me drink more water by gamifying the whole thing and syncing smoothly with my phone and Apple Watch. This new one keeps all of that and improves the design, battery life, and finally switches to USB-C charging.A few things you should know.• The old model came with both a standard lid and a straw lid.• This new version makes you choose.• On Amazon UK, I could only buy the straw version. Not ideal because cleaning a straw is annoying.• Buying the other lid separately from their US store costs way too much once you add shipping. The app is great overall, but there’s one catch. It connects to Apple Health and automatically increases your daily water goal based on your activity. On gym cardio days, that adjustment makes sense. The problem is the suggested intake is slightly higher than what I’m comfortable drinking. I can hit the goal, but I end up feeling bloated. You can lower the goal manually, but then you lose the dynamic activity adjustment.Despite that, I still love the bottle. I use it every day. It keeps me drinking consistently, the build feels much better than the first version, and the charging situation is finally modern. If they bundled both lids again and refined the goal system, it would be close to perfect.
