Thoughtful and practical gift for a pre-teen learning photography
We purchased this purple digital/vlogging camera as a Christmas gift for our child, and it has been a wonderful tool for introducing her to photography and video creation. On the positive side, it does come with a lens cover (my child decorated hers with a llama sticker), which is a great way to teach young photographers the importance of protecting the lens when not in use.The picture quality is decent for a children’s camera, though the autofocus is noticeably slow. This makes it better suited for still or nature photography rather than capturing action shots or people. Despite this limitation, it’s an excellent option for a child, especially for parents like me who prefer not to give their child a phone. This camera provides the freedom to capture photos and videos independently, fostering creativity and responsibility.Overall, this camera is a great value for the price and a solid choice for children learning the basics of photography. It’s durable, easy to use, and tailored to young users, making it a thoughtful and practical gift.

Overall Not Bad
For it’s size, the camera is light-weight and easy to use, with all settings on auto.I used the ‘manual’ setting with the camera: The camera has a message of ‘saving photo’ after you take a picture, so moving too fast or needing to catch fast action photos is definitely not recommended. The color and clarity of the photos is good. Not bad value for price point.Overall, yes, this is a good camera for a person getting into photography or for someone who just wants to have a camera on hand to catch life’s treasurable moments.

Great Camera!
I bought this camera for my teenage daughter to take pictures as she has developed an interest in photography recently. We decided on this camera for her as a good beginner camera since it seemed pretty straightforward and also relatively cheap compared to more professional cameras. The camera was easy to set up and very easy to use. The camera quality was good and the audio was also very nice. The app that you can use to upload the pictures via wifi is slightly finicky but if you upload them via usb cord it is relatively seamless. The only negatives I have noticed is sometimes the camera takes a bit longer to focus. Overall, it is a great beginner camera that has an excellent battery life and good quality photo and video.

After a Year Many Issues That I haven’t been able to resolve
I don’t often write reviews but I felt I should with this one. I was totally surprised at the quality of the pictures that this camera put out. When I purchased it, I was concerned not only because it was one of the cheaper camera’s but because I use it for my jewelry that I make. I was totally surprised. Compared to an older much more expensive camera that I had it did a beautiful job. The detail is perfect. I’m still learning how to use it though. It is more sensitive with certain things, but once you get use to it, it does a great job. The only issue that I have is that every once in a while on only my ceramic black head and chest model it has a green dotted line that goes across it. If I move back away from the jewelry and the model it does go away. That is the only time I have any problems with it. As you can see from the pictures that I posted the camera picked up the veins in the beads perfectly. The background was AI-generated not by the camera.Second posting – I have been using this for a while now for taking pictures of my jewelry and the green dotted line that is going across the black mannequin that I’m using for my necklaces is getting worse. It no longer goes away. I’m having a harder time getting this wonderful sharp focus that I was getting when I first bought it. I was not able to get a hold of a live customer service person to talk to. Very disappointed in a camera that started out extremely good.Update: 2025 SeptemberNow it skips pictures that I take. I can’t find them anywhere. Sometimes I can’t get it to focus at all. I have acquired strange folders in the memory that I can’t get rid of. I have to take two of the same picture, hoping that one turns out alright or is shows up when I try to download them. The camera is useless at this point.
