Bought a Used pair through Amazon, excellent quality with ample volume.
I try to buy secondhand when possible, and I am so pleased with how this Used pair of Yamaha headphones work. As someone who is hard of hearing, I’ve always needed to have the volume all the way up whenever I played with headphones–but not these! The piano is actually painfully loud if I put it all the way up, which is a feat for me. I can play comfortably with the volume about 2/3 of the way up. The sound quality is excellent, I haven’t heard my own playing this well in years. A good investment!

Yamaha has done it again
I am very impressed with Yamaha as an overall company. I have been a customer for years. I recently purchased a Yamaha MX49. It’s a versatile synth, with good tones. When I was looking for good quality headset for silent practice for my guitar effects pedal, I had tried Senheisser. But the bass was boomy, and woofy, and the highs were horrible. The worst. When I thought about it I realized, that Yamaha makes great synths, maybe they will have good headphones. I was right. Yamaha knocked it out of the park. The highs are unbelievable. They are so good, it’s exactly the same tone you would get if you were listening straight from the amp. No bull. Lows, mids, highs all eq’d perfectly with this pair of headphones. If you want to do late night jams on a Hawkwind, Line 6 effects pedals or Boss effects pedal this is your headphones. You will be thanking me later. Solos are sweet, fast tracking, delays sounds superb. A must have.

The product functions well, no issues.
I use the stereo headphones to privately listen to my music streams through my home Yamaha stereo system without disturbing others watching TV in the house. The Yamaha wired headphones are perfectly matched for my system. I initially tired using a pair of multi-functional headphones (offered both wired and Bluetooth functions), but the sound quality was horrible. I immediately returned them to the big electrics store and received my refund. I am very happy with my wired Yamaha stereo headphones.

Wired headphones for guitar playing and quiet
Wired headphones, fairly good quality the cable, however, is at least 2 feet too short trying to stretch them. We’ll see how they hold up. Will not buy again.

Wiring issues – stay away!
While these headphones have good sound, the wires inside the cord are so small in diameter that they get hairline cracks in them after only a week or two of normal use causing the loss of sound on one channel or the other. The wires crack internally about one inch beyond the plug in the uncoiled area. You don’t even have to bend the cord to cause this breakage, it will happen thru normal use.
